Privacy Policy

1Information we collect

We do not collect, store or transmit any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no server operated by us. We have no access to the files you open or create in the app.

2Information that stays on your device

To do its job, the app works with the following data. All of it is processed and stored locally on your device:

• Files you choosePDFs and images you select are read by the app to carry out the tool you picked, such as merging, splitting, compressing, converting, watermarking, signing, protecting or unlocking a PDF.
• Files the app createsOutput files are saved to the app's storage on your device. Temporary working files are kept in the app's cache, which you can clear at any time from Settings > Clear Temporary Cache.
• Recent files historyThe app keeps a list of files you recently worked with (such as file name, location, size and date) so you can find them again. This list is stored only on your device.
• PDF passwordsA password you enter to protect or unlock a PDF is used only on your device for that operation. It is not saved by the app and is not sent anywhere.
• SignaturesA signature you draw is used on your device to place it on your document.
• App preferencesSettings such as your chosen accent color are stored on your device.

3Permissions the app uses

• CameraTo scan paper documents into a PDF with the document scanner. The camera is used only while you are scanning.
• Photos and mediaTo let you pick images to convert into a PDF, and to save converted images.
• StorageOn older versions of Android, to read the files you select and to save the files the app creates.
• InternetUsed by the Google document scanner component described below, for example to download the scanner. The app itself does not send your files or personal information over the internet.

You can refuse or withdraw a permission at any time in your device settings. The tools that depend on that permission will not work without it.

4Third-party services

The document scanner is provided by Google ML Kit, delivered through Google Play services. Scanning and image processing happen on your device, and your scanned images are not sent to Google for processing. Google may collect limited technical information through ML Kit, such as device information, app information, and performance and diagnostic data, to operate and improve its service. The app does not include any other third-party service that collects data, such as analytics, advertising or crash reporting tools.

5Sharing of information

We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone, because we do not collect it.

When you tap Share, the app hands the file or text you chose to your device's share sheet. From there it goes to the app you select, such as an email or messaging app, and is handled under that app's privacy policy. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.

6Data retention and deletion

Because your data stays on your device, you are in control of it. You can:

• clear temporary files from Settings > Clear Temporary Cache;
• delete files the app created from your device;
• remove all app data, including the recent files history, by clearing the app's storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the app.

7Security

Your files are processed on your device and are not transmitted to us, which removes the risk of them being exposed on our side. The safety of files stored on your device depends on your device's own security, such as a screen lock. Please keep a copy of any password you set on a PDF, because we cannot recover it for you.

8Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children or from anyone else.

9Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add a new feature. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Please check this page for the latest version.
